Siene Crossing was essentially a full version of Operation Metro’s final area, with player’s battling through a French city. However, both maps should make a comeback, regardless of whether they are available on release or added via Battlefield 2042’s post-launch Seasons. Two more maps that do not appear on Henderson’s list of “Battlehub” locations are Damavand Peak and Siene Crossing. Unfortunately, it is not on the list of maps that leaker Tom Henderson has teased for the Ripple Effect game mode, so it remains to be seen if it will ever return. With snipers positioning themselves on the hills, too, it is hard to top the thrill of the initial push on Operation Firestorm. Seeing a group of them push through the desert was a memorable sight for defenders, as there was a lot to deal with from the get-go. Leaning heavily on the vehicles of Battlefield, jets and tanks played a major role in the map. While Operation Firestorm shares the first half of its name with Metro, it was a vastly different map. With each prior location favoring a playstyle, and this final area accommodating all styles, the map was beloved by all fans of Battlefield’s infantry play. The final area took players outside, letting them fight through buildings or snipe those leaving the subway station. A great section for Battlefield players that love explosives, this area was perfect for grenades and C4. The diverse map design continued to be seen on the subway’s upper level, as it saw players bottlenecked on staircases as they tried to push forward.
